My name is Helen, legal name Qianyun — or Q for short. (Feel free to call me any of the above!) I graduated from Harvard in 2015 and worked in marketing/branding for most of my early career. I currently live in sunny California in the SF Bay Area.
I’ve always had a HUGE love for travel and real estate but never knew how to combine them — until a lightbulb moment when I realized that you can actually make a living from vacation + corporate rentals!
In 2019 I finally dove in head first — we acquired a beautiful log cabin in the Smoky Mountains and started renting it out to vacationers. Most of my guests are couples on their anniversary trips, honeymoons, or babymoons. I even had someone propose (successfully) to his girlfriend on our patio!
When we first got the cabin, it was on with a property management company doing 23k in annual revenue. After I took charge, it’s now averaging 80k per year!
Fast forward: I’m now an Airbnb Superhost and have decided that vacation rentals is what I want to focus on for the rest of my life. I get to create amazing memories for people — for a living! What’s not to love?
Since then, we’ve purchased more properties across the states, including another in the Smokies, a gorgeous villa in Arizona, and more to come in Florida!
